Aero Products specializes in quality OEM Starter Generators
Tired of PMA parts in your Starter Generators?
Aero Products maintains a starter generator shop complete with its own test run-in facility. Our goal is to provide a quality overhaul that will perform to TBO, therefore we use genuine Safran and Skurka parts.
TIPS TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR STARTER GENERATOR AND LOWER THE OPERATING COST
INSPECT THE UNIT AT 100-HOUR INTERVALS – Early detection of a problem is key to lower repair cost
KEEP AIR INLET CLEAN & CLEAR OF DEBRIS – Higher operating temperatures will decrease service life.
USE A GROUND POWER UNIT WHENEVER IT IS POSSIBLE – To help ensure igniters are working at peak performance & reduce the length of time the starter generator is engaged.
BLOW OUT THE CARBON DUST AT EACH INSPECTION – Prevention of carbon dust buildup will help keep the unit cool
ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME FOR THE STARTER GENERATOR TO COOL DOWN BETWEEN OPERATING & STARTING CYCLES
DO NOT USE THE STARTER GENERATOR TO TURN THE ENGINE DURING MAINTENANCE FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN STARTING THE AIRCRAFT
WARNING TO PREVENT DAMAGE & PREMATURE FAILURES OF YOUR STARTER GENERATOR
BE SURE THE FRICTION SYSTEM IS ALIGNED – Failure to do so can cause extreme vibration.
PROTECT THE O-RING FROM DAMAGE DURING INSTALL – Oil entering the unit will cause carbon buildup & shorts.
DO NOT HANG UNIT FROM THE SHAFT – The shaft was not designed to support this weight.
PROTECT THE T-BLOCK . FROM PHYSICAL DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING – Do not allow the unit to roll. Do not over torque the T-Block threads.
